Ingredients

Baking powder ¼ teaspoon
Banana 1½ medium
Butter ½ tablespoon
Flour (maida) ½ cup
Oil 11-12 tablespoon
Salt A pinch

Preparation

  1. 1. Peel off the bananas. Chop them into big slices length wise. Keep them aside.

Cooking

  1. 1. Take the flour in a deep bowl or vessel, add salt to it. Mix the contents well.

  2. 2. Now, add the butter to the mixture and mix the contents till the butter is completely mixed.

  3. 3. Add baking powder to the mixture. Mix the contents well.

  4. 4. Now, add the water as needed to the mixture and mix the contents well. (Make sure no lumps are formed)

  5. 5. Coat the banana slices into this mixture properly.

  6. 6. Heat the oil in a kadai and add coated banana slices to it. (First add one slice to check that oil is enough hot)

  7. 7. Fry the balls on medium flame till the banana slices turn golden brown in colour on all sides. Use the spotted spoon to fry the slices.

  8. 8. Drain off the excess oil using the paper napkins or kitchen towels.

  9. 9. Your dish is prepared and ready to be served. Serve with mayonnaise or tomato ketchup as per your choice.
