Ingredients

Asafoetida / Hing A pinch
Fenugreek leaves / kasuri methi ⅓ teaspoon
Green chillies 1⅓ piece
Green peas 1 cup
Lemon Juice ⅔ teaspoon
Oil 2 tablespoon
Peanuts 4 tablespoon
Poha 3½ cups
Potatoes 1⅓ medium
Red Chilli (Powdered) ⅔ teaspoon
Salt ½-1 teaspoon as per taste
Sugar ⅔ teaspoon
Tomatoes 2 medium
Tumeric powder / haldi ⅛ teaspoon

Preparation

  1. 1. Rinse the poha in water. Drain off the excess water and add three-fourth of the salt, red chilli powder and sugar to it. Mix the contents well.

  2. 2. Chop the potatoes, coriander leaves, tomatoes and green chillies. Keep them aside.

Cooking

  1. 1. Heat the oil in a pan and add peanuts, asafoetida, green chillies, kasuri methi, green peas and potatoes to it. Cook the contents for 2-3 minutes.

  2. 2. Add tumeric powder and tomatoes to the mixture. Mix the contents well.

  3. 3. Now, add the poha to the mixture and mix the contents well.

  4. 4. Add the remaining salt, lemon juice and coriander leaves to the mixture. Mix the contents well.

  5. 5. Your dish is prepared and ready to be served.
