Ingredients

Chat masala powder ¼ teaspoon
Cheese ½ cube
Coriander leaves ¼ of a stick
Flour (maida) ¼ cup
Green chillies ¼ piece
Liquid Cheese ¼ tablespoon
Oil 9-10 tablespoon
Onions ¼ medium
Salt ⅛ teaspoon as per taste

Preparation

  1. 1. Grate the cheese and keep it aside.

  2. 2. Chop the onions, coriander leaves and green chillies. Keep them aside.

  3. 3. Take three-fourth of the flour and half of the salt in a vessel and add water in small portions and knead the flour to make it soft.

  4. 4. Grease your hands with oil and knead the flour till you get smooth dough. Keep this away for 15-20 min.

Cooking

  1. 1. In a deep bowl, add the onions, coriander leaves, green chillies, grated cheese and liquid cheese in it. Mix the contents well.

  2. 2. Divide the dough into equal pieces and roll them into balls.

  3. 3. Take one piece and press it with your hand to give it round shape.

  4. 4. Make sure it is not much thick or thin. (Use the dry flour to remove the grease from the piece)

  5. 5. Roll the piece in the form of chapatti to get a small round shaped piece. (Use dry flour so that the piece does not stick)

  6. 6. Place the filling at the center of the piece and bring the sides of dough together.

  7. 7. Press the dough with your hand to give it round shape.

  8. 8. Roll this piece into a round shape. (Use dry flour so that the piece does not stick)

  9. 9. Heat the remaining oil in a pan or kadai and fry the kachoris till you get a golden brown colour on all sides of the kachoris.

  10. 10. Remove the excess oil from the kachoris using kitchen towels or paper napkins.

  11. 11. Garnish your kachoris with chat masala.

  12. 12. Your dish is prepared and ready to be served. Serve with tamarind chutney or green chutney.
