Ingredients

Black pepper (powdered) ⅕ teaspoon
Breadcrumbs 1½ tablespoon
Capsicum ¼ medium
Cheese ½ small cube
Flour (maida) ¾ tablespoon
Oil 12-13 tablespoon
Oregano ⅕ teaspoon
Potatoes 1¼ medium
Red pepper flakes ⅖ teaspoon
Salt ⅕ teaspoon as per taste
Garlic Powder ⅕ teaspoon

Recipe

Preparation

  1. 1. Boil the potatoes in a pressure cooker. Peel off the potatoes, mash them and keep them aside.

  2. 2. Chop the capsicum and keep them aside.

  3. 3. In a bowl, add flour and some water. Mix the contents till there are no lumps remaining.

  4. 4. Chop the cheese into small cubes and keep them aside.

Cooking

  1. 1. In a deep bowl or vessel, add the mashed potato, capsicum, chilli flakes, oregano, black pepper powder, garlic powder and salt. Mix the contents well.

  2. 2. Now, make small balls from this mixture.

  3. 3. Place a small cheese cube inside each ball and wrap it with the mixture. Use your hands to give round shape to each ball.

  4. 4. Make all the balls in the same way.

  5. 5. Take one ball and dip it in the flour mixture. Now, coat it with the breadcrumbs on all sides. Do this for all balls and keep them aside.

  6. 6. Heat the remaining oil in a pan or kadai. Once the oil is heated, put the cheese ball in it. (First try with one cheese ball to make sure that the ball does not break. If it breaks, heat the oil more)

  7. 7. Fry all the balls till you get golden brown colour on sides of all the balls. (Use a spotted spoon to fry the balls)

  8. 8. Drain off the excess oil using the paper napkins or kitchen towel.

  9. 9. Your dish is prepared and ready to be served. Serve with tomato ketchup or mayonnaise as per your choice.
