Ingredients

Baking soda A pinch
Black pepper (powdered) A pinch
Cheese ¼ small cube
Coriander leaves ¼ of a stick
Flour (maida) ⅓ tablespoon
Garam masala powder A pinch
Green peas 1 tablespoon
Oil 11-12 tablespoon
Onions ¼ big
Potatoes ½ big
Salt ¼-½ teaspoon as per taste
Tomato ketchup ¼ tablespoon
Tomatoes ⅓ tablespoon

Recipe

Preparation

  1. 1. Boil the potatoes in a pressure cooker. Peel off the potatoes, mash them and keep them aside.

  2. 2. Grate the cheese cube and keep it aside.

  3. 3. Chop the tomatoes, onions, peas and coriander leaves. Keep them aside.

Cooking

  1. 1. To the mashed potatoes, add black pepper powder, garam masala powder and coriander leaves. Mix the contents well.

  2. 2. Add the flour, baking powder, cheese and salt to this mixture. Mix the contents well.

  3. 3. Now, make small balls from this mixture. Use your hands to give round shape to each ball. (You may grease your hands with some oil to provide better shape)

  4. 4. Heat the remaining oil in a pan or kadai. Once the oil is heated, put the cheese ball in it. (First try with one cheese ball to make sure that the ball does not break. If it breaks, heat the oil more)

  5. 5. Use a spotted spoon to fry the balls in the pan or kadai.

  6. 6. Once you get golden brown colour on sides of the balls, place them in the serving plate.

  7. 7. Drain off the excess oil using the paper napkins or kitchen towel.

  8. 8. Your dish is prepared and ready to be served. Serve with tomato ketchup or tamarind chutney as per your choice.
