  2. 2. Grate the paneer and keep it aside.

  3. 3. Chop the onions, tomatoes and coriander leaves. Keep them aside.

  4. 4. Soak the tomatoes and cashew nuts in warm water for about 10 minutes.

  5. 5. Add the tomatoes in a mixer grinder. Grind the contents to get a smooth tomato puree. Keep it aside.

Cooking

For Kofta

  1. 1. In a deep bowl or vessel, add paneer, potatoes, corn flour, one-fourth of the garam masala powder and some salt.

  2. 2. Apply some oil on your palms and mix the contents till you get dough like mixture.

  3. 3. Divide the mixture into equal parts.

  4. 4.  Take one part and make the round shaped kofta from it. Use your hands for this. (Remember to fill some cream in the kofta)

  5. 5. Make all the kofta balls in the same way.

  6. 6. Heat the oil (leaving 1 tablespoon) in a pan or kadai and fry the kofta balls in it.

  7. 7. Cook the contents till you get golden brown colour on all sides of the kofta ball.

  8. 8. Remove the excess oil from each kofta using paper napkins or kitchen towel.

  9. 9. Dip all the kofta balls in the cream to form a uniform layering of cream on them.

For Gravy

  1. 1. Heat three-fourth of the remaining oil in a pan or kadai and add the onions, tomato puree, ginger + garlic paste and cashew nuts to it.

  2. 2. Cook the contents till you get golden brown colour on all sides of the onions and till the tomatoes get soft. Keep this aside.

  3. 3. Heat the remaining oil in the same pan or kadai and add bay leaf, cardamom, cloves to it.

  4. 4. Cook the mixture for a minute and add the previous mixture to this mixture. Mix the contents well.

  5. 5. Now, add salt, red chilli powder and garam masala powder to the mixture and mix the contents well.

  6. 6. Add the water (as per your need) to this mixture and cook the contents on low flame for about 10 minutes.

  7. 7. Once you get the thick gravy, turn off the burner.

  8. 8. Garnish with some cream and coriander leaves.

  9. 9. Your dish is prepared and ready to be served.
