Ingredients

Cardamom 1 piece
Cashew nuts ½ tablespoon
Cinnamon stick ½ small
Cloves 1 piece
Coriander leaves ½ of a stick
Cream 3 teaspoon
Cumin seeds / jeera ¼ teaspoon
Fenugreek leaves / kasuri methi ¾ cup
Garlic Cloves 2 pieces
Ginger ⅛ piece
Green chillies 1 piece
Green peas ½ cup
Milk ¼ cup
Oil 2 tablespoon
Onions 1 big
Salt ¼-½ teaspoon as per taste

Preparation

  1. 1. Soak the cashew nuts in warm water for about 5 minutes.

  2. 2. Chop the onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies and coriander leaves.

  3. 3. Crush the cloves, cardamom and cinnamon stick. Keep this cloves mixture aside.

  4. 4. Chop the fenugreek leaves and keep them aside.

Cooking

  1. 1. Heat one-fourth of the oil in a pan or kadai and add cumin seeds to it.

  2. 2. Once the seeds start to crackle, add the onions to it. Cook the contents till you get light golden brown colour on the onions. Keep the mixture aside.

  3. 3. In a mixer grinder, add the onions, ginger, garlic, green chillies, cashew nuts and small amount of water.

  4. 4. Grind the contents till you get a smooth paste.

  5. 5. Heat three-fourth of the remaining oil in a pan and add the onion paste to it. Cook the contents till the moisture is removed.

  6. 6. Once the mixture is cooked, add the crushed cloves masala and salt to it. Cook the contents for about 2 minutes.

  7. 7. Now, add the chopped fenugreek leaves to the mixture. Cook the contents for 2-3 minutes.

  8. 8. Add the milk to the mixture. Cook the contents till the mixture comes to a boil.

  9. 9. Now, add the cream and green peas to the mixture. Mix the contents well.

  10. 10. Cook the mixture till you get a thick mixture. Garnish with coriander leaves.

  11. 11. Your dish is prepared and ready to be served.
