Ingredients

Black pepper (non powdered) ½ teaspoon
Butter 1 tablespoon
Chicken 350 gram
Coriander leaves ½ stick
Cream 2½ tablespoon
Curd ½ cup
Garlic ½ small
Lemon Juice 1½ teaspoon
Oil 1 tablespoon
Onions 1½ medium
Red Chilli (Powdered) 2½ teaspoon
Salt ¼-½ teaspoon as per taste
Tomatoes 1½ medium
Tumeric powder / haldi ½ teaspoon

Preparation

  1. 1. Crush the garlic and keep it aside.

  2. 2. Take the chopped chicken in a deep bowl.

  3. 3. Add curd, three-fourth of red chilli powder, half of the garlic, lemon juice and salt to it. Mix the contents well and keep the mixture aside.

  4. 4. Cover the chicken and marinate it for about 2 hours.

  5. 5. Chop the onions and tomatoes and keep them aside.

  6. 6. In a mixer grinder, add the onions and tomatoes. Grind the contents till you get a smooth puree.

Cooking

  1. 1. Heat the oil and butter in a kadai and add garlic, black pepper and tomato puree to it. Mix the contents well.

  2. 2. Add the remaining red chilli powder and turmeric powder to the mixture. Cook the contents till you get a thick paste.

  3. 3. Add the marinated chicken pieces to the mixture and mix the contents well.

  4. 4. Add some water (as per needed) and three-fourth of the cream to the mixture. Mix the contents well.

  5. 5. Cook the contents till the chicken turns soft and is properly cooked. This will take about 20 minutes.

  6. 6. Garnish with coriander leaves and remaining cream.

  7. 7. Your dish is prepared and ready to be served.
