Ingredients

Cardamom powder A pinch
Cocoa Powder ⅓ tablespoon
Condensed Milk 1¼ tablespoon
Ghee ½ tablespoon
Khoa ⅓ cup
Pistachios 2 pieces

Preparation

  1. 1. Crumble the khoa and keep it aside.

  2. 2. Chop the pistachios and keep them aside.

Cooking

  1. 1. Heat half of the ghee in a pan or kadai and add khoa, condensed milk. Mix the contents till the khoa melts. (Make sure no lumps are formed)

  2. 2. Add cocoa powder to the mixture and mix the contents well.

  3. 3. Cook the contents till the three-fourth of the moisture leaves.

  4. 4. Now, add the sugar and some ghee to the mixture and mix the contents till the mixture becomes a mass. (Remember not to overcook else the mixture will turn hard)

  5. 5. Cook the contents on medium flame till you get a thick mixture and the mixture

  6. 6. Now, you have dough like smooth mixture. (You can knead the mixture using your hands if you do not get a smooth dough like mixture)

  7. 7. Cool the mixture and divide it into small pieces. Keep them aside.

  8. 8. Grease your hands with remaining ghee and make small balls from the pieces. Flatten each piece.

  9. 9. Garnish your pedas with chopped pistachios at the center of each peda. Refrigerate the pedas.

  10. 10. Your dish is prepared and ready to be served.
